Goal: to build a website where content managers can modify the content and site structure without technical staff.
Result: operational site (www.tevredenheid.nl) using a state-of-art Content Management System (CMS)
Details: the website is managed using a true content management systems. While most CMS systems claim to do content management, most are in fact portal systems with an overload of gadgets (forums, polls, galleries). Very few actually concentrate on – or are very good at - content management.
The system used for www.tevredenheid.nl is called Umbraco. It has clean distinction between content, structure and design, and uses state-of-art technology such as the Microsoft.NET platform and XML/XSLT to produce pages.
For a content manager it is extremely easy to add, move, remove and modify pages and content using a web-based administration login.
